Panoramic botanical wall mural in a sculptural lounge

Wallcoverings · Material library

A room can change at the surface.

Quiet texture, saturated color or an image that carries across the entire wall—the first decision is how you want the room to feel.

Six material directions

From performance vinyl to hand-painted murals, the collection moves between utility and expression.

Selections are considered for the room, the light, the traffic and the way the surface will be experienced up close.

Vinyl

Performance vinyl is built to read as a natural wallcovering and behave like something far tougher. It takes the rooms that punish a surface — bathrooms, kitchens, corridors, anywhere with damp air or constant traffic — and it does it at a price that still makes sense across a whole floor. Residential and commercial, in a range wide enough that durability is not the only thing it has going for it.

Silks, Sateens & Strings

This is where a wall picks up shine. Authentic silks and sateens carry linear strié, nubby detail or a quiet polish that shifts as the light moves across the room through the day. Each one is laminated onto a paper backing, so a delicate textile installs cleanly. The range runs from barely-there texture to openly opulent, and the difference between the two is a decision worth making with the sample in hand.

Grasscloths & Fiber Naturals

Hemp, arrowroot, jute and grasses, woven and left to look woven. No two panels match exactly, and that irregularity is the point: it gives a flat wall depth that print cannot fake. Naturally renewable, quietly sophisticated, and available across enough colors, weaves and weights to suit a study or an entire lobby.

Murals

Hand-painted artwork, digitally translated into a surface that carries across a full wall. The same composition can be printed on paper, grasscloth, silk, linen, metallic leaf or vinyl, which means the image and the material are two separate decisions. Scale, color and crop are all adjustable, and lead times are short enough that a mural is a real option rather than a someday one.

05

Wood Veneers & Corks

Cork bark and thinly sliced oak, paulownia, cane and scholar wood, washed in color and applied as a wallcovering. It brings warmth to rooms that go cold easily — libraries, breakfast nooks, bedrooms, a wall behind a bed — in anything from traditional architectural planks to more eclectic modern tones. Organic material, architectural result.

Prints

The widest part of the library. Classic and contemporary, geometric and abstract, botanical and graphic, at scales from a tight repeat to a single motif that owns the room. Grounds include paper weaves, natural grasses, linens, silks and hard-wearing vinyl, and a good number of the designs are still hand-printed by artisans.
